My name is John Jacobs. I began the original strength and feats ministry the summer after my senior year of high school, using it as a tool to bring people to Jesus and give altar calls in prisons and churches. In a matter of a few years, God anointed this vision of evangelistic tools and illustrated sermons using feats of strength to communicate the Gospel. Over the years it became a world impacting tool, allowing my teams to hold over 1,000 crusades and 15,000 public school assemblies and to build a reputation worldwide, not only in the Christian community, but also in the secular community for having one of the world’s greatest school assemblies .

After my senior year of high school, I founded the original strength and feats ministry concept. In the early 1980’s, I founded the Power Team which I led and developed for over 20 years. The feats of strength concept became a world impacting ministry. I have been personally involved in over 2,000 crusades in approximately 40 countries. After I retired from the Power Team I started a new contemporary concept in which I have taken the feats ministry to the next level. I call my newly founded organization John Jacobs and the Next Generation Power Force. In 2006 alone, John Jacobs and the Next Generation Power Force will hold over 80 crusades and 700 public school assemblies with many of America’s leading churches and in over 15 denominations.

When I began John Jacobs and the Next Generation Power Force I applied everything I have learned in over 25 years of worldwide evangelism as the founder and developer of the strength ministry concept. I also applied what I felt relevant to this generation, to take the strength ministry evangelism concept to the next level. We now focus on quality not quantity. An intensive 72-hour follow-up program that has been added for visitors and new converts has put seven churches in building programs over the last year. I have adjusted the format of the presentation to actually increase in energy and also in presence and communication of the gospel. Because of these changes, I have cut the cost of crusades by 70%. Last year alone we held 45 historic crusades, 350 school assemblies and saw over 24,000 people saved. Involving a more personal touch in school assemblies has resulted in larger turnouts in churches.

A year ago, I moved to Fort Myers, Florida to partner and submit myself to my pastor, Gaspar Anastasi of Word of Life Church. I have personally worked very closely with Pastor Anastasi to create an outreach tool that partners with you, the pastor of the local church. Because of this relationship with my pastor, I have gained some special insight into the heart of the local pastor and understand better how to encourage you as a pastor and be sensitive to your church leadership needs. This has brought a great wave of revival, renewal, restoration and a new anointing into my life. This has also brought me a new understanding of the importance of relationship; God does so many great things through relationship.

On a practical note, I’m now able to hold crusades at a fraction of the previous cost due to our lower overhead, while accomplishing better results. I’m also able to work more closely and personally with pastors, which has become a wonderful enrichment for my life, giving me many new friends and voices to speak into my life. I’m able to listen now very carefully to each church and make notes on how to better partner with them. By working very closely with my pastor on a weekly basis, I’ve learned the things that the pastor of today needs to grow the church of tomorrow. All of these things have brought about the greatest results I’ve ever seen in 25 years in ministry.

If we come to your church, on Sunday morning I will preach a message of exhortation and encouragement to your church body. Many times I convey the heartbeat message of my life—to use your gifts and talents for God, how everyone can be used by the Lord, and how everyone can do something to affect the world. A lot of churches ask me to climax their “Forty Days of Purpose” campaign because my gift of exhortation and encouragement connects perfectly with calling people to use their ministry gift for their purpose in life.

Along with this, I exhort and challenge people to go out and invite their friends, neighbors and unsaved loved ones to one of our evening evangelistic meetings. There, our world-class Christian athletes use feats of strength to illustrate the message of the Gospel. Some of our current team members include a Golden Glove Boxing Champion, Mr. South America, many power lifting champions, one of the strongest women in the world, and the strongest man in the world who bench presses over 800 lbs. We have also
added two very impressive Pro Football Players, one which has been in three SuperBowls! While we do some basic feats of strength like ripping phonebooks, bending steel bars, blowing up hot water bottles and snapping handcuffs, the expense to the church is minimal.

Most of all, I want to share my heart—I want to be a personal friend to you, the local pastor. I want to help you with your vision and your heart to touch your community and to encourage and exhort your people to use their gifts and talents for God. I would love to come and preach for you and your church and bring an encouraging word.

Before every crusade I schedule, I invite you to call my pastor, Gaspar Anastasi, to actually hear what exciting things are happening in my life and my personal ministry. Feel free to call him at Word of Life Church in Fort Myers, Florida, 239-274-8881.

My heartbeat is to operate in my calling, to win souls, to encourage your church, to be a friend to you as a pastor, to strengthen your hand, and to promote your vision. I would love to help you make 2006 and 2007 the greatest years in the history of your church. I would consider it the highest honor and privilege to serve you in any capacity.

Thank you for letting me share my heart. God bless you.
